My name is John Phelan and I've been working in the design world since 2000. I started out as an artworker for the in-house design team in the Bank of Ireland Marketing Department. In 2007, I started working with Dragon Design Ltd. Then, in June 2016, I decided to go freelance and started Skinny Designs.

I love my job and consider myself lucky to do what I do. I'm passionate about every piece I work on, from the smallest ad to the biggest poster and I pride myself on my attention to detail. I try to start each project I do on paper and work from there.

If I'm honest, illustration is my major passion. I'm never happier than when I have a pencil in my hand. Spider-man comics started my love affair with drawing when I was 8 or 9 years old and I've never looked back.
